    The Stamford Bulldogs (Stamford, TX) football nipped the visiting Anson Tigers (Anson, TX), 28-21 in Friday's league contest.

    The Bulldogs (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Texas Leadership Charter Academy - Abilene (Abilene, TX). The Eagles enter the 2A-1 Region I District 4 contest with a 0-7 record. In their last contest, Texas Leadership Charter Academy - Abilene was nudged by Cisco (Cisco, TX), 69-8, in a league contest.

    Coming up next, the Tigers battle the Olney Cubs (Olney, TX) in a 2A-1 Region I District 4 contest, on Friday, October 24. Anson will attempt to better on its 5-2 season record. The Cubs enter the contest with a 3-4 record after their 53-6 league loss to Hawley (Hawley, TX).
