The West Delaware Hawks football squad scored 42 points and limited the host Benton Bobcats to 20 in the Hawks league triumph on Friday.

The Hawks now hold a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Clear Lake for a 3A District 2 test on Friday, October 24. West Delaware will meet a Lions squad coming off a 63-0 league win over Charles City (Charles City, IA). The Lions record now stands at 8-0.

With the defeat, Benton moves to 4-4 on the season. The Bobcats travel to Iowa Falls-Alden (Iowa Falls, IA) to face the Cadets in a 3A District 2 challenge on Friday, October 24. The Cadets go into the challenge with a record of 3-5. Iowa Falls-Alden lost 35-0 in their recent league challenge against Independence (Independence, IA)
