North Carolina High School Football - Bertie loses to Holmes

October 17, 2025: Edenton, NC 27932

Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football squad topple the visiting Bertie Falcons (Windsor, NC), 56-28 in a league match.

The Aces (4-4) will now prepare for their match against Perquimans (Hertford, NC). The Pirates enter the Albemarle (AAC) 2A match with a 4-4 record. In their last match, Perquimans thwarted Camden County (Camden, NC), 19-14, in a league match.

Next up, the Falcons play the Gates County Red Barons (Gatesville, NC) in a Albemarle (AAC) 2A battle, on Friday, October 24. Bertie will attempt to advance on its 0-8 season record. The Red Barons go into the battle with a 3-5 record after their 36-22 league win over Manteo (Manteo, NC).
