The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Denison-Schleswig Monarchs (Denison, IA) and the visiting Boone Toreadors (Boone, IA), witnessed Denison-Schleswig's football squad knock off Boone by a tally of 35-21.

The Monarchs (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against A-D-M (Adel, IA). The Tigers enter the 4A District 6 contest with a 7-1 record. In their last bout, A-D-M overcame Lewis Central (Council Bluffs, IA), 31-28, in a league bout.

The Toreadors now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Glenwood for a 4A District 6 bout on Friday, October 24. Boone will confront a Rams squad coming off a 41-15 league win over Jefferson (Council Bluffs, IA). The Rams record now stands at 6-2.
