    In Friday's league match, the host Higley Knights football squad scored a close 41-38 triumph over the Brophy College Prep Broncos.

    The Knights (5-2) will now prepare for their match against Shadow Ridge (Surprise, AZ). The Stallions come into the 6A Central match with a 3-4 record. In their last match, Shadow Ridge was nudged by Williams Field (Gilbert, AZ), 22-16, in a league match.

    Coming up next, the Broncos confront the Liberty Lions (Peoria, AZ) in a non-league match, on Friday, October 24. Brophy College Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Lions come into the match with a 6-1 record after their 30-14 league win over Centennial (Peoria, AZ).
