In Friday's league match, the host Centerville Tornadoes football squad scored a decisive 50-6 triumph over the Burke Cougars.
The Tornadoes (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Howard (Howard, SD). The Tigers go into the non-league battle with a 6-2 record. In their last battle, Howard was ripped by Viborg/Hurley (Viborg, SD), 32-22, in a league battle.
The Cougars now have a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Faulkton for a non-league test on Thursday, October 23. Burke will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 53-6 league win over Northwestern Area (Mellette, SD). The Trojans record now stands at 5-3.
