In Friday's league match, the host Calumet Copper Kings football squad scored a decisive 46-3 triumph over the Gladstone Braves.

The Copper Kings (6-2) will now prepare for their challenge against L'Anse (L'Anse, MI). The Purple Hornets go into the non-league challenge with a 5-3 record. In their last challenge, L'Anse bounced Gwinn (Gwinn, MI), 1-0, in a league challenge.
