The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Strafford Indians (Strafford, MO) and the host Clever Blue Jays (Clever, MO), witnessed Strafford's football squad edge Clever by a tally of 17-12.

The Indians (3-5) will now prepare for their bout against Fair Grove (Fair Grove, MO). The Eagles go into the Mid-Lakes bout with a 4-4 record. In their last bout, Fair Grove was tipped by Forsyth (Forsyth, MO), 58-34, in a league bout.

The Blue Jays now own a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to Springfield Catholic for a Mid-Lakes contest on Friday, October 24. Clever will confront a Fighting Irish team coming off a 60-31 league loss to Hollister (Hollister, MO). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 7-1.
