Franklin Parish Patriots (Winnsboro, LA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Peabody Warhorses (Alexandria, LA), 55-14 in a league match.
The Patriots (5-2) will now prepare for their match against Grant (Dry Prong, LA). The Cougars come into the 4A District 2 match with a 3-4 record. In their last match, Grant was routed by Wossman (Monroe, LA), 73-36, in a league match.
Coming up next, the Warhorses meet the Tioga Indians (Tioga, LA) in a 4A District 2 match, on Friday, October 24. Peabody will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Indians come into the match with a 7-1 record after their 49-7 league win over West Ouachita (West Monroe, LA).
