North Carolina High School Football - Manteo loses to Gates County

Gates County Red Barons (Gatesville, NC) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Manteo Redskins (Manteo, NC), 36-22 in a league battle.

With the win, Gates County advances its record to 3-5 on the season. The Red Barons travel to Bertie (Windsor, NC) to play the Falcons in a Albemarle (AAC) 2A battle on Friday, October 24. The Falcons come into the match with a record of 0-8. Bertie lost 56-28 in their recent league match against Holmes (Edenton, NC)

Coming up next, the Redskins confront the Camden County Bruins (Camden, NC) in a Albemarle (AAC) 2A battle, on Friday, October 24. Manteo will attempt to improve on its 5-2 season record. The Bruins go into the battle with a 3-5 record after their 19-14 league loss to Perquimans (Hertford, NC).
