    The Helix Highlanders football team (La Mesa, CA), dropped 40-14 in Friday's league bout with the host Granite Hills Eagles (El Cajon, CA)

    The Eagles (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against El Capitan (Lakeside, CA). The Vaqueros enter the Grossmont - Hills contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, El Capitan was toppled by Helix (La Mesa, CA), 41-21, in a league contest.

    Coming up next, the Highlanders battle the Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA) in a Grossmont - Hills contest, on Friday, October 24. Helix will attempt to better on its 3-6 season record. The Cougars enter the contest with a 7-1 record after their 28-21 league loss to Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA).
