The Hutchinson Salthawks (Hutchinson, KS) football edged the host Newton Railroaders (Newton, KS), 15-14 in Friday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Salthawks battle the Maize South Mavericks (Wichita, KS) in a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division I game, on Friday, October 24.
