The crowd at Friday's league contest between the La Quinta Blackhawks (La Quinta, CA) and the host Rancho Mirage Rattlers (Rancho Mirage, CA), saw La Quinta's football team gain a win over Rancho Mirage by a final score of 40-13.

With the win, La Quinta advances its record to 6-2 on the year. The Blackhawks host Shadow Hills (Indio, CA) to confront the Knights in a Desert Empire battle on Thursday, October 23. The Knights go into the battle with a record of 4-4. Shadow Hills lost 38-14 in their recent league battle against Palm Desert (Palm Desert, CA)

The Rattlers now own a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Xavier Prep for a Desert Empire match on Friday, October 24. Rancho Mirage will confront a Saints squad coming off a 26-0 league loss to Palm Springs (Palm Springs, CA). The Saints record now stands at 5-3.
