The Patrick County Cougars football squad scored 35 points and limited the visiting Nelson County Governors to 7 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.

In their next game, the Cougars face the Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA) in a Three Rivers game, on Friday, October 24. Patrick County will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Highlanders enter the game with a 8-0 record after their 35-0 league win over Radford (Radford, VA).

The Governors (4-3) will now prepare for their game against Dan River (Ringgold, VA). The Wildcats enter the Dogwood outing with a 3-5 record. In their last outing, Dan River was knocked off by Gretna (Gretna, VA), 56-28, in a league outing.
