Mississippi High School Football - Scott Central triumphant over Newton

October 17, 2025: Forest, MS 39074

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Scott Central Rebels (Forest, MS) and the visiting Newton Tigers (Newton, MS), witnessed Scott Central's football squad wallop Newton by a tally of 42-6.

The Rebels (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Pelahatchie (Pelahatchie, MS). The Chiefs enter the 2A Region 5 contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Pelahatchie was trounced by Lake (Lake, MS), 32-24, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Tigers encounter the Puckett Wolves (Puckett, MS) in a 2A Region 5 bout, on Friday, October 24. Newton will attempt to advance on its 1-7 season record. The Wolves go into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 40-14 non-league loss to East Rankin Academy (Pelahatchie, MS).
