Wellington Skyrockets (Wellington, TX) boosters left the game content Friday as they observed their football squad crush the host Quanah Indians (Quanah, TX), 51-13 in a league test.
In their next game, the Skyrockets play the Shamrock Irish (Shamrock, TX) in a 2A-2 Region II District 5 challenge, on Friday, October 24. Wellington will attempt to improve on its 6-1 season record. The Irish go into the challenge with a 1-6 record after their 30-24 league loss to Clarendon (Clarendon, TX).
The Indians (3-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Memphis (Memphis, TX). The Cyclones come into the 2A-2 Region II District 5 test with a 2-5 record. In their last test, Memphis was overwhelmed by Wheeler (Wheeler, TX), 55-0, in a league test.
