    • North Carolina High School Football - West Carteret tops Richlands

    October 17, 2025: Morehead City, NC 28557

    The West Carteret Patriots football squad scored 34 points and limited the visiting Richlands Wildcats to 21 in the Patriots league triumph on Friday.

    The Patriots now hold a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Croatan for a Coastal 5A/6A test on Friday, October 24. West Carteret will face a Cougars team coming off a 38-7 league win over Richlands (Richlands, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 7-1.

    The Wildcats (1-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Dixon (Holly Ridge, NC). The Bulldogs go into the Coastal 5A/6A challenge with a 5-3 record. In their last challenge, Dixon lost by Northside - Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC), 50-39, in a league challenge.
