    • North Carolina High School Football - South Columbus edged by South Brunswick

    The South Brunswick Cougars got by the host South Columbus Stallions football team by a score of 28-27 in Friday's league challenge.

    In their next game, the Cougars face the Fairmont Golden Tornadoes (Fairmont, NC) in a Southeastern 3A/4A/5A challenge, on Friday, October 24. South Brunswick will attempt to improve on its 5-3 season record. The Golden Tornadoes go into the challenge with a 1-7 record after their 42-28 league loss to Whiteville (Whiteville, NC).

    The Stallions (4-4) will now prepare for their test against West Bladen (Bladenboro, NC). The Knights come into the Southeastern 3A/4A/5A test with a 2-6 record. In their last test, West Bladen was nipped by Red Springs (Red Springs, NC), 35-0, in a league test.
