Middletown Islanders (Middletown, RI) boosters went home in high spirits Friday as they observed their soccer squad nudge the host Moses Brown Quakers (Providence, RI), 1-0 in a league outing.

The Islanders (12-4) will now prepare for their outing against Toll Gate (Warwick, RI). The Titans go into the Division 2 outing with a 7-5 record. In their last outing, Toll Gate Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI), 3-3, in a league outing.

Next up, the Quakers confront the East Providence Townies (East Providence, RI) in a Division 2 outing, on Tuesday, October 21. Moses Brown will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Townies go into the outing with a 12-1 record after their 1-0 league win over Prout (Wakefield, RI).
