The Andrew Thunderbolts (Tinley Park, IL) volleyball held off the host Moline Maroons (Moline, IL), 2-1 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Thunderbolts now possess a 15-17 record. They play next when they travel to Rosary for a non-league match on Saturday, October 18. Andrew will battle a Royals squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Resurrection (Chicago, IL). The Royals record now stands at 3-23.
The Maroons (11-14) will now prepare for their bout against Galesburg (Galesburg, IL). The Silver Streaks come into the Western Big 6 bout with a 13-18 record. In their last bout, Galesburg was nudged by Glenwood (Chatham, IL), 2-0, in a non-league bout.
