The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Byrd Yellow Jackets (Shreveport, LA) and the host Christ Episcopal School Wildcats (Covington, LA), observed Byrd's volleyball team top Christ Episcopal School by a tally of 2-0.

The Yellow Jackets (27-5) will now prepare for their contest against New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy (New Orleans, LA). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 12-12 record.

Next, the Wildcats meet the St. Charles Catholic Comets (LaPlace, LA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, October 20. Christ Episcopal School will attempt to upgrade on its 12-9 season record. The Comets enter the contest with a 11-12 record after their 3-0 league win over Donaldsonville (Donaldsonville, LA).
