In Friday's non-league game, the host Chalmette Owls volleyball squad scored a 2-0 win over the Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy Tigers.

Next up, the Owls face the South Lafourche Tarpons (Galliano, LA) in a non-league game, on Friday, October 17. Chalmette will attempt to advance on its 13-13 season record. The Tarpons go into the game with a 19-7 record after their 3-0 league win over South Terrebonne (Bourg, LA).

With the defeat, Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy moves to 11-13 on the season.
