The Piute Thunderbirds volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Green River Pirates to 0 in the Thunderbirds non-league triumph on Friday.

The Thunderbirds now have a 11-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tintic for a non-league game on Saturday, October 18. Piute will face a Miners squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Tabiona (Tabiona, UT). The Miners record now stands at 15-8.

The Pirates (4-15) will now prepare for their game against Escalante (Escalante, UT). The Moquis go into the non-league game with a 5-13 record. In their last game, Escalante went down by Wayne (Bicknell, UT), 3-0, in a league game.
