North Mac Panthers (Virden, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting South County Vipers (Franklin, IL), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers (6-19) will now prepare for their challenge against Augusta Southeastern (Augusta, IL). The Suns come into the non-league challenge with a 23-5 record. In their last challenge, Augusta Southeastern beat Camp Point Central (Camp Point, IL), 2-0, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Vipers face the Augusta Southeastern Suns (Augusta, IL) in a non-league test, on Saturday, October 18. South County will attempt to improve on its 15-16 season record. The Suns go into the test with a 23-5 record after their 2-0 league win over Camp Point Central (Camp Point, IL).
