Fans at Friday's league contest between the Woodland Regional Hawks (Beacon Falls, CT) and the host Watertown Warriors (Watertown, CT), observed Woodland Regional's volleyball team top Watertown by a count of 3-0.

The Hawks (18-5) will now prepare for their contest against Holy Cross (Waterbury, CT). The Crusaders enter the Naugatuck Valley contest with a 13-5 record. In their last battle, Holy Cross achieved victory over Crosby (Waterbury, CT), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Warriors now own a 1-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Oxford for a Naugatuck Valley battle on Wednesday, October 22.
