The First Colonial Patriots volleyball team (Virginia Beach, VA), went down 3-1 in Wednesday's non-league challenge with the visiting Hickory Hawks (Chesapeake, VA)

The Hawks (13-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA). The Grizzlies enter the Southeastern challenge with a 10-5 record. In their last challenge, Grassfield defeated Great Bridge (Chesapeake, VA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Patriots encounter the Bayside Marlins (Virginia Beach, VA) in a Beach challenge, on Thursday, October 19. First Colonial will attempt to move on its 11-6 season record. The Marlins enter the challenge with a 2-12 record after their 3-0 league win over Landstown (Virginia Beach, VA).
