The Montezuma-Cortez Panthers football squad scored 28 points and limited the visiting Alamosa Mean Moose to 21 in the Panthers league triumph on Friday.

The Panthers now sport a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pagosa Springs for a 2A Intermountain test on Friday, October 25. Montezuma-Cortez will meet a Pirates squad coming off a 41-27 league loss to Gunnison (Gunnison, CO). The Pirates record now stands at 4-3.

With the defeat, Alamosa drops to 4-3 on the campaign. The Mean moose travel to Salida (Salida, CO) to meet the Spartans in a 2A Intermountain test on Friday, October 25. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 3-4. Salida won 28-7 in their recent league test against Bayfield (Bayfield, CO)
