North Carolina High School Football - North Davidson can't hold off Asheboro

October 18, 2024: Asheboro, NC 27203

Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting North Davidson Black Knights (Lexington, NC), 17-14 in a league battle.

With the win, Asheboro advances its record to 3-5 on the season. The Blue Comets travel to Ledford (Thomasville, NC) to play the Panthers in a Mid-Piedmont 3A battle on Friday, October 25. The Panthers go into the battle with a record of 3-5. Ledford lost 58-21 in their recent league battle against Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC)

The Black Knights now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Central Davidson for a Mid-Piedmont 3A battle on Friday, October 25. North Davidson will play a Spartans team coming off a 28-13 league win over Montgomery Central (Troy, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 5-3.
