The Stoney Creek Cougars football squad scored 49 points and limited the host Avondale Yellowjackets to 12 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now hold a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Huron for a non-league test on Friday, October 25. Stoney Creek will meet a River Rats squad coming off a 28-26 league win over Pioneer (Ann Arbor, MI). The River Rats record now stands at 3-5.

With the defeat, Avondale drops to 5-3 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Airport (Carleton, MI) to meet the Jets in a non-league test on Friday, October 25. The Jets come into the test with a record of 4-4. Airport won 34-33 in their recent league test against Milan (Milan, MI)
