Georgia High School Football - Benedictine triumphant over Wayne County

October 18, 2024: Jesup, GA 31545

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Benedictine Cadets (Savannah, GA) and the host Wayne County Yellow Jackets (Jesup, GA), witnessed Benedictine's football squad wallop Wayne County by a tally of 40-0.

The Cadets (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Perry (Perry, GA). The Panthers enter the AAAA Region 1 contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, Perry crushed Ware County (Waycross, GA), 31-21, in a league outing.

With the defeat, Wayne County drops to 0-8 on the campaign. The Yellow jackets travel to New Hampstead (Savannah, GA) to clash with the Phoenix in a AAAA Region 1 outing on Friday, October 25. The Phoenix come into the outing with a record of 2-5. New Hampstead lost 34-22 in their recent league outing against Warner Robins (Warner Robins, GA)
