The Boaz Pirates (Boaz, AL) football tipped the visiting Guntersville Wildcats (Guntersville, AL), 42-35 in Friday's league outing.

The Pirates now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Arab for a 5A Region 8 outing on Friday, October 25. Boaz will clash with a Knights squad coming off a 50-47 league loss to Scottsboro (Scottsboro, AL). The Knights record now stands at 5-3.

With the defeat, Guntersville drops to 7-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Douglas (Douglas, AL) to clash with the Eagles in a 5A Region 8 outing on Friday, October 25.
