The Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights football squad scored 49 points and limited the visiting Carrick Raiders to 12 in the Maroon Knights non-league triumph on Friday.
The Maroon Knights now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Toronto for a Ohio Valley AA test on Friday, October 25. Wheeling Central Catholic will meet a Red Knights squad coming off a 28-21 non-league win over Caldwell (Caldwell, OH). The Red Knights record now stands at 7-2.
With the defeat, Carrick drops to 3-5 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Catholic Central (Steubenville, OH) to meet the Crusaders in a non-league test on Saturday, October 26. The Crusaders come into the test with a record of 6-3. Catholic Central lost 47-26 in their recent non-league test against Conotton Valley (Bowerston, OH)
