Mead Panthers (Spokane, WA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Cheney Blackhawks (Cheney, WA), 42-0 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Mead improves its record to 7-0 on the season. The Panthers host Gonzaga Prep (Spokane, WA) to play the Bullpups in a 4A Greater Spokane battle on Friday, October 25. The Bullpups go into the battle with a record of 7-0. Gonzaga Prep won 23-21 in their recent non-league battle against Central Valley (Spokane Valley, WA)
The Blackhawks now have a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to University for a 3A Greater Spokane battle on Friday, October 25. Cheney will play a Titans team coming off a 40-9 league loss to Ridgeline (Liberty Lake, WA). The Titans record now stands at 1-6.
