In Friday's league match, the visiting Crownpoint Eagles football squad scored a good 24-0 triumph over the Shiprock Chieftains.
The Eagles (4-4) will now prepare for their match against Gallup (Gallup, NM). The Bengals come into the 3A District 1 match with a 1-7 record. In their last match, Gallup was beaten by Wingate (Fort Wingate, NM), 44-12, in a league match.
Coming up next, the Chieftains confront the Zuni Thunderbirds (Zuni, NM) in a 3A District 1 match, on Friday, October 25. Shiprock will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Thunderbirds come into the match with a 2-6 record after their 50-0 league loss to Thoreau (Thoreau, NM).
