Texas High School Football - Lovejoy smashes Emerson

October 18, 2024: Lucas, TX 75002

The Lovejoy Leopards (Lucas, TX) football trounced the visiting Emerson Mavericks (McKinney, TX), 48-7 in Friday's league outing.

The Leopards now sport a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Walnut Grove for a 5A-2 Region I District 4 outing on Friday, October 25. Lovejoy will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 55-41 league loss to Anna (Anna, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-1.

With the defeat, Emerson drops to 5-3 on the campaign. The Mavericks host Melissa (Melissa, TX) to clash with the Cardinals in a 5A-2 Region I District 4 outing on Friday, October 25. The Cardinals come into the outing with a record of 5-2. Melissa won 75-6 in their recent league outing against Independence (Frisco, TX)
