Michigan High School Football - Evart tops Houghton Lake

October 18, 2024: Evart, MI 49631

The Evart Wildcats football squad scored 49 points and limited the visiting Houghton Lake Bobcats to 26 in the Wildcats league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now hold a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Harrison for a non-league test on Friday, October 25. Evart will meet a Hornets squad coming off a 64-28 non-league loss to Ogemaw Heights (West Branch, MI). The Hornets record now stands at 7-1.

With the defeat, Houghton Lake drops to 4-4 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Beaverton (Beaverton, MI) to meet the Beavers in a non-league test on Friday, October 25. The Beavers come into the test with a record of 2-6. Beaverton lost 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Standish-Sterling (Standish, MI)
