North Carolina High School Football - Holmes tops First Flight

October 18, 2024: Edenton, NC 27932

The Holmes Aces football squad scored 62 points and limited the visiting First Flight Nighthawks to 33 in the Aces league triumph on Friday.

The Aces now sport a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Camden County for a 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal test on Friday, October 25. Holmes will meet a Bruins squad coming off a 67-7 league loss to Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC). The Bruins record now stands at 1-7.

With the defeat, First Flight drops to 3-5 on the campaign. The Nighthawks host Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City, NC) to meet the Panthers in a 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal test on Friday, October 25. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 4-4. Pasquotank County won 28-22 in their recent league test against Currituck County (Barco, NC)
