Tennessee High School Football - Johnson County sneaks past Gatlinburg-Pittman

October 18, 2024: Mountain City, TN 37683

The Johnson County Longhorns football squad scored 14 points and limited the visiting Gatlinburg-Pittman Highlanders to 7 in the Longhorns league triumph on Friday.

The Longhorns now hold a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Holston for a non-league test on Friday, October 25. Johnson County will meet a Cavaliers squad coming off a 42-0 league win over Northwood (Saltville, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 6-1.

With the defeat, Gatlinburg-Pittman drops to 5-3 on the campaign. The Highlanders host Pigeon Forge (Pigeon Forge, TN) to meet the Tigers in a 3A Region 1 test on Friday, October 25. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 5-3. Pigeon Forge lost 14-13 in their recent non-league test against Austin-East (Knoxville, TN)
