In Friday's league match, the host Glen Burnie Gophers football squad scored a decisive 54-7 triumph over the Meade Mustangs.
The Gophers (4-3) will now prepare for their match against Old Mill (Millersville, MD). The Patriots come into the Anne Arundel County match with a 4-3 record. In their last match, Old Mill was routed by Arundel (Gambrills, MD), 42-0, in a league match.
Coming up next, the Mustangs confront the Friendship Collegiate Academy Knights (Washington, DC) in a non-league match, on Friday, October 25. Meade will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Knights come into the match with a 5-2 record after their 19-6 non-league win over Mt. Zion Prep Academy (Lanham, MD).
