Negaunee Miners (Negaunee, MI) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Houghton Gremlins (Houghton, MI), 31-12 in a league battle.

With the win, Negaunee improves its record to 6-2 on the season. The Miners travel to Iron Mountain (Iron Mountain, MI) to play the Mountaineers in a non-league battle on Thursday, October 24. The Mountaineers go into the battle with a record of 8-0. Iron Mountain won 42-0 in their recent league battle against Manistique (Manistique, MI)

The Gremlins now have a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Hancock for a Western Peninsula - Copper battle on Friday, October 25. Houghton will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 32-8 league loss to Westwood (Ishpeming, MI). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-7.
