In Friday's league game, the Lakeland Regional Lancers (Wanaque, NJ) football team edged the visiting Vernon Vikings (Vernon, NJ), by a score of 21-14.

In their next game, the Lancers face the Passaic Valley Hornets (Little Falls, NJ) in a non-league game, on Friday, October 25. Lakeland Regional will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Hornets enter the game with a 5-2 record after their 34-7 league win over Nutley (Nutley, NJ).

The Vikings (3-5) will now prepare for their game against West Milford (West Milford, NJ). The Highlanders enter the Super - Patriot Red game with a 5-3 record. In their last game, West Milford was edged by Sparta (Sparta, NJ), 42-14, in a league game.
