In Friday's league match, the host Lynden Christian Lyncs football squad scored a close 13-7 triumph over the Mt. Baker Mountaineers.
The Lyncs (4-3) will now prepare for their match against Meridian (Bellingham, WA). The Trojans come into the 1A Northwest match with a 5-2 record. In their last match, Meridian was nudged by Nooksack Valley (Everson, WA), 29-0, in a league match.
Coming up next, the Mountaineers confront the Blaine Borderites (Blaine, WA) in a 1A Northwest match, on Friday, October 25. Mt. Baker will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Borderites come into the match with a 5-2 record after their 36-13 non-league win over Friday Harbor (Friday Harbor, WA).
