New Mexico High School Football - Valencia nips Manzano

October 18, 2024: Los Lunas, NM 87031

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Valencia Jaguars (Los Lunas, NM) and the visiting Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM), witnessed Valencia's football squad edge Manzano by a tally of 22-19.

The Jaguars (6-2) will now prepare for their contest against St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM). The Sartans enter the 4A District 2 contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, St. Pius X got by Chaparral (Chaparral, NM), 41-6, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Monarchs battle the Silver Fighting Colts (Silver City, NM) in a 4A District 2 contest, on Friday, October 25. Manzano will attempt to better on its 5-3 season record. The Fighting Colts enter the contest with a 3-6 record after their 22-9 league win over Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM).
