Texas High School Football - Young Men's Leadership Academy can't hold off Nixon-Smiley

October 18, 2024: San Antonio, TX 78202

Nixon-Smiley Mustangs (Nixon, TX) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the host Young Men's Leadership Academy (San Antonio, TX), 21-19 in a league battle.

With the win, Nixon-Smiley advances its record to 3-4 on the season. The Mustangs host Dilley (Dilley, TX) to play the Wolves in a 3A-2 Region IV District 15 battle on Friday, October 25. The Wolves go into the battle with a record of 6-1. Dilley won 47-14 in their recent league battle against Karnes City (Karnes City, TX)

The now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Cotulla for a 3A-2 Region IV District 15 battle on Friday, October 25. Young Men's Leadership Academy will play a Cowboys team coming off a 40-8 league win over Natalia (Natalia, TX). The Cowboys record now stands at 5-2.
