North Carolina High School Football - North Stanly tops South Stanly

October 18, 2024: New London, NC 28127

The North Stanly Comets football squad scored 29 points and limited the visiting South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls to 12 in the Comets league triumph on Friday.

The Comets now hold a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they host Mount Pleasant for a 1A/2A Yadkin Valley test on Friday, October 25. North Stanly will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 30-8 league win over Albemarle (Albemarle, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 7-1.

With the defeat, South Stanly drops to 4-3 on the campaign. The Rowdy rebel bulls host Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC) to meet the Knights in a 1A/2A Yadkin Valley test on Friday, October 25. The Knights come into the test with a record of 6-1. Lake Norman Charter lost 13-10 in their recent league test against Union Academy (Monroe, NC)
