The Petoskey Northmen football squad scored 61 points and limited the visiting Sault Area Blue Devils to 0 in the Northmen league triumph on Friday.

The Northmen now hold a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Clare for a non-league test on Friday, October 25. Petoskey will meet a Pioneers squad coming off a 54-28 non-league win over Pinconning (Pinconning, MI). The Pioneers record now stands at 7-1.

With the defeat, Sault Area drops to 1-7 on the campaign. The Blue devils travel to Gaylord (Gaylord, MI) to meet the Blue Devils in a Big North test on Friday, October 25. The Blue Devils come into the test with a record of 2-6. Gaylord lost 37-20 in their recent non-league test against Lumen Christi Catholic (Jackson, MI)
