The Phillips Bears felled the visiting Waterloo Cougars football team by a score of 14-6 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Bears play the Addison Bulldogs (Addison, AL) in a 1A Region 7 challenge, on Friday, October 25. Phillips will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Bulldogs go into the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 41-14 league win over Vina (Vina, AL).

The Cougars (1-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Shoals Christian (Florence, AL). The Flame go into the 1A Region 7 challenge with a 1-7 record. In their last challenge, Shoals Christian lost by Hackleburg (Hackleburg, AL), 48-10, in a league challenge.
