The Vinton Lions football squad scored 43 points and limited the visiting Pickering Red Devils to 14 in the Lions league triumph on Friday.
The Lions now sport a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rosepine for a 2A District 4 test on Friday, October 25. Vinton will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 34-8 non-league loss to Mansfield (Mansfield, LA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-7.
With the defeat, Pickering drops to 1-7 on the campaign. The Red devils host Pine Prairie (Pine Prairie, LA) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league test on Friday, October 25. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 1-6. Pine Prairie lost 44-12 in their recent league test against Crowley (Crowley, LA)
