North Carolina High School Football - Pinecrest sneaks past Scotland

October 18, 2024: Southern Pines, NC 28387

The Pinecrest Patriots football squad scored 43 points and limited the visiting Scotland Fighting Scots to 36 in the Patriots league triumph on Friday.

The Patriots now hold a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hoke County for a 3A/4A Sandhills test on Friday, October 25. Pinecrest will meet a Bucks squad coming off a 28-6 league loss to Union Pines (Cameron, NC). The Bucks record now stands at 2-7.

With the defeat, Scotland drops to 3-5 on the campaign. The Fighting scots host Lee County (Sanford, NC) to meet the Yellow Jackets in a 3A/4A Sandhills test on Friday, October 25. The Yellow Jackets come into the test with a record of 4-4. Lee County lost 48-21 in their recent league test against Richmond (Rockingham, NC)
