California High School Football - Aptos can't hold off Salinas

October 18, 2024: Aptos, CA 95003

Salinas Cowboys (Salinas, CA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the host Aptos Mariners (Aptos, CA), 35-28 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Salinas improves its record to 3-1 on the season. The Cowboys host Arroyo Grande (Arroyo Grande, CA) to play the Eagles in a non-league battle on Friday, October 25. The Eagles go into the battle with a record of 4-4. Arroyo Grande lost 24-22 in their recent league battle against St. Joseph (Santa Maria, CA)

The Mariners now have a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Everett Alvarez for a battle on Thursday, October 24. Aptos will play a Eagles team coming off a 36-0 league loss to Soquel (Soquel, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-5.
